The next LFA MODERATOR / FACILITATOR training, our ‘flagship’ course, will be organised in Brussels as from Monday 16th till 20th October.

FACILITATION or MODERATION aims through better listening at reaching a common understanding by different stakeholders on a specific situation.  It is a way of dealing with people, which creates ownership and commitment among the various stakeholders in projects. This is often the key for success.

The PCM Group, Project Coaches & Moderators, in Brussels has been running these trainings very successfully twice a year since 1992 (for 25 years!) and the course is delivered in collaboration with Bureau Frank Little from the Netherlands.

The training is very personalised, thorough, practical and innovative in learning methodologies based on feedback from the two experienced trainers and on self-discovery (we use video feedback). Participants, both experienced facilitators and un-experienced ones are highly pleased about this training (often claimed to be ‘the best course ever attended’). You can read feedback on the respective discussions on the Projects for Change Group at LinkedIn.

This specialised professional training is applicable to FACILITATORS and desk officers in charge of initiating project design processes, i.e. identification and formulation, by writing quality Terms of References, quality assessments of proposals and steering the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation and for consultantsProject Managers and implementers who are actually doing identification, formulation, implementing, monitoring and evaluation processes and who usually conceive proposals.

This training is highly intensive and lasts for 5 days. Only a maximum number of 12 participants can join and the training is run by two trainers. In order to respect the weekend we start on the Monday at 13.00 hours (!) and all other days we begin at 09.00. Some evenings (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) the training will continue until about 20.00. On Wednesday we offer space for ‘shopping’ and relaxing as we will stop at 18.00. The course ends at 14.00 hours (!) on Friday to facilitate easy travel home.

We apply FACILITATION to guide a group of participants in a role play setting through the Logical Framework Analysis and Planning process. In the 5 days participants will become very familiar with the LFA workshop procedures and get enough practice to become a professional moderator or facilitator able and confident to properly guide a group of participants / stakeholders with often different perceptions and interests through an LFA analysis and planning exercise. All the complications of a facilitator pass the scene.

The course fee is € 2,200 (excl. 21% VAT) which is covering tuition, course booklets and moderation materials and also the lunches. Hotel accommodation and evening meals are not included in this price and hotels need to be booked individually. Individuals can apply for a 20% discount!

Please sign up at the course calendar at our web site by clicking the specific training you like to join and fill the registration form.

As a preparation it might be helpful if you do the KNOWLEDGE TEST

before you attend the training. This TEST is available among other tests at our web site.  After completion and sending you will receive the results in return.
